Last week after a rough week, I decided that I needed a personal getaway. Me, Myself and I *cues Beyonce" With school starting, planning a wedding, moving during a pandemic is really a lot. I wanted to take sometime for myself and just get a change of scenery.
On Sunday, I packed my bags, ran a couple of errands, picked up a snack from Jimmy Johns and checked into my room. Before I got too comfortable I took out my Microban and Clorox wipes and sanitized my room. Then I changed into my loungewear and relaxed. I will say it was one of the best feelings in the world. I felt like I was able to escape the real world for a day and hit the reset button.
I will say that doing this did feel strange at first, booking a hotel room by myself in my own town. That is something I've never experienced before but it was totally worth it.

The next morning I woke up to breakfast and coffee from downstairs. They didn't have much like they did when I stayed here with Timothy back in February.
Have you every booked a stay by yourself?
I highly suggest you do so, I see this as a form of self-care for me . Like I said it will feel strange at first if you don't normally do this but I promise you it's worth it. I wish I was able to stay the whole weekend because I would've slept a little longer than I did. After my stay I felt like I was balanced and refreshed with a new mindset.
