Xoxo, I.Joelle Takes 5

“IT’S MY BLOGGERVERSARY, BLOGGERVERSARY “
This has been such a fun 5 years filled with so many opportunities that have come along.  I’ve met some amazing people, ventured to different places and created things I never thought I would. Becoming a blogger has pushed out of my comfort zone and become a better woman. I've learned so much about myself and my voice. Yes, my voice I've realized that it does matter in this world.  That even if I can inspire ONE  person, then I've done my part.  I'll be honest when I rebranded my blog 5 years ago, I didn't expect to be where I am now.  Sometimes I have to remind myself that most of the opportunities that I have been presented were because of my work ethic and my view.

Why?
I started blogging because for one I loved showcasing my style and motiving others. My blog became a  way for me to express myself. Before blogging I was very shy, I had confidence but I gained more of it.  Back in January, I was featured on a podcast where I shared more about why I started blogging.

Do I still love blogging?
Of course, I look forward to sharing my content, meeting new people and trying new things. I may not be where I want to be but I know very soon I will. I'll be honest it has become a bit more challenging because of my work schedule, but honey I make it happen. To be a blogger, influencer, creator, etc, this day in age you must be innovative. What worked for you a month ago or even a year may not work today. You must be willing to adjust to the waves. Every chance I get I try to level up and freshen up my work ethic.  If you want something you'll work hard to make it happen right?!

Lessons Learned

Do the work: you’ll never see your rewards if you don’t do the work.
RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH= MAJOR KEY
NO COMPARING= Focus on your own journey there are so many times we tend to get lost in others highlight reels, we forget how great our journey is. Believe me, I know it’s hard not to do.
Take A Break- Don’t be afraid to take a break from social media and blogging. I’ve faced the burnout so many times and taking a break was the best thing for me.
Consistency is Key: the way to growth is being consistent and also doing what works for you.
Creating Content Isn't As Easy As Looks:  If you think it takes one day just to create content, then you may want to think again. Planning is very important. If you want to see the Behind The Scenes of My Photoshoots CLICK HERE.

"We celebrate all celebrations big or small."
Well here's to year 5 and more to come! This year has been amazing thus and I can't wait to see what the next 10 months bring me and my blog.  Thank you all for your support and love! I seriously appreciate it from the bottom of my heart!

Until Next Time,
