Styling A Pink Pleated Midi Skirt & Making Time For Yourself

Valentine's is exactly 10 days away! Do you have any plans? Whether you have plans or not, don't forget to make time for yourself. Not just on Valentine's Day but every chance you get. On Valentine's Day, we get wrapped in showing love to others that we forget that we need to show ourselves so healthy self- love as well.  Here's why I say you should take time for yourself.

Burnt Out
I work a 55 hour work week  and by Friday I'm burnt out. I don't want to do anything but sleep, not EVEN BLOG! If you know me, you know blogging is life for me. But my work schedule has things tied up just a bit, but I still find a way to make things work.  I set aside one or two nights during the workweek where I either watch youtube videos, watch tv, read, blog, etc. I want to make sure that I'm not just working, coming home, eating and going to sleep without making time for me to unwind. For a while, that's what I would do and it drove me crazy. It felt as if I didn't have a life and started to fall into a funk.  But I'm here to tell you, that you should make sure that you're taking time for yourself.

I know we all have busy schedules and long days but don't forget to take time for yourself. It's important for your mental, emotional and physical health. Sometimes we get so wrapped in our routines, we forget to live our lives a bit.  If  you find yourself burnt out or need stuck:

  • Unplug
  • Take a break
  • REST
  • Take yourself on a date
  • Plan a mental health day
  • Clear your schedule for ME TIME.

Remember SELF-LOVE IS THE BEST LOVE! That means taking care of yourself inside and out.
