Lifestyle: Keep Evolving

I have to admit this past weekend getaway was well needed. My love Timothy and I headed to Rock Hill, South Carolina for the weekend. But we spent the majority of the time in Charlotte. We drove around the city, ate good food (we need a detox) and did a little retail therapy. But most of all I gained much-needed inspiration to help with the creative process.

For the past few weeks, I've been on a creative rollercoaster.  Trying out new content and trying to stay consistent with it.  I thought that I could continue to things the way I did last year and it'll work out. But deep down inside it didn't feel right.

Back in November the word EVOLVE came to my mind and I didn't know why. I would keep hearing  it but about two weeks ago it all made sense to me.

e·volve
ēˈvälv/
verb
  1. 1.
develop gradually, especially from a simple to a more complex form.
  2. synonyms:developprogressadvance

I was trying to keep up with the same routine that did last year. But then I realized that I need to elevate my thinking when it comes to everything. When it comes to being successful or in life, in general, we can't stay on the same level all the time. We've got to be willing to take things to another and challenge ourselves. When we challenge ourselves we find out who we REALLY are.  We find out if that dream or goal that we're going after is worth chasing. We find strength and our purpose on this Earth. Don't be AFRAID to EVOLVE!

When you think about every season and year companies have to find different ways to reach out to their audience. They can't use the same commercials and marketing plans as they did from the previous season. They have to evolve and use different techniques that they know will work for their brand, If you feel like what you're doing isn't working for you then maybe you should take a step back from and evaluate things. Even if that means you have to leave some people behind, it just means that you needed them just for that level of lessons in life. Don't be afraid to take things to another level and challenge yourself. DO COMPETE WITH ANYONE BUT YOURSELF! Strive on being a better you and educate yourself in the area you're currently in. There are just a few steps that I plan taking while on this journey.

Remember that it's okay to feel burned out but don't stay there. Take a step back, re-evaluate the situation and start back up. Nothing worth having comes easy!  All of what you're going through is a part of where you're trying to go!

Happy Monday!
